About The Journey
Team HPP participated in the World’s Toughest Row competition in Summer 2024, and completed their row in 41 days.
The team embarked on this journey to explore and expand their capacity for endurance, to exceed the limitations perceived in ourselves, and to honor the strength of those who face trials greater than the Pacific Ocean could ever present.
Challenge Details
Distance
The trip was a 2,800 mile row from California to Hawaii. No motors were used – the journey was fully Human Powered.

Pre-Launch Preparations

No amount of training can replace a thorough examination of the crew and its tools. The boat, oars, and supplies were thoroughly inspected to ensure a safe voyage.

After the team and its gear passed a rigorous pre-launch safety inspection conducted by the World’s Toughest Race, the teams began their row.

After a journey braved by fewer people than have climbed Mt. Everest, the boat safely docked at Hanalei Bay, in Kauai, Hawaii.
